THE BEST THEME PARK FOR PLUS SIZE PEOPLE- WHY I LOVE DISNEY!!

THE BEST THEME PARK FOR PLUS SIZE PEOPLE- WHY I LOVE DISNEY!!

Theme parks should be full of excitement and joy, yet the experience often turns more bitter than sweet for us fat people. But it doesn’t have to be like that.

Plenty theme parks nowadays are far more conscious about inclusion and body positivity, so visiting your favorite amusing park shouldn’t be such a nerve-wrecking ordeal. It’s just a matter of picking the right vacation spot.

And one theme park is way above the others in terms of size-friendliness.

THE HAPPIEST PLACE ON EARTH.

Disney has always prided itself on being inclusive and open—designed to be a place of joy and merriment for everyone, big and small. And they do mean the big part!

All Disney parks, whether in the US or outside it, are so incredibly fat-friendly, they might as well be one of the best locations to visit for us. So folks out there fearing humiliation or facing anxiety—worry not. Mickey welcomes guests of all shapes and sizes.

WEIGHT IS NOT AN ISSUE.

Disney attractions always pay attention to the health and safety of their visitors—therefore you’ll often see warnings around certain rides or locations, signaling visitors about restrictions to consider before boarding the ride.

Heart disease, height, back issues or pregnancy are all restrictions to consider—weight, however, is nowhere to be found.

That’s because not a single ride is forbidden due to weight. Refreshing, isn’t it?

CONSIDER THE SEATS.

While weight is not an issue, body mass might make certain rides more uncomfortable than others. This totally depends on each body type, so you will have to study your specific case.

In general lines, most seats are perfect for plus-sized folks, even if not all of them are as comfortable as one would hope.

Thankfully enough, some attractions feature sample seats, meant for you to test how fit you are for each. So, if you are nervous about a ride, ask ahead!

RIDES FOR EVERYONE.

During my visit to Disney World, I had no issues with any ride. Ever! Mind-blowing, right?

For starters, I didn’t have to deal with annoying turnstiles—almost every attraction I visited featured doors I could walk through. As easy as that.

Next, the sitting was mostly wide and comfortable, and my weight distribution didn’t really limit my enjoyment of the rides. Through Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios, there was not a single ride I didn’t enjoy.

I do, however, must make an add-on. While I didn’t try it, almost every single plus-sized person I’ve met agrees The Seven Dwarfs Mine Trainis troublesome—not only is it uncomfortable, but its sculpted seats limit those with a big derrière.

One out of a bazillion isn’t a bad record.
