6 Things to do in Austin this Winter!

1. ARMADILLO CHRISTMAS BAZAAR

Armadillo is an eleven day Christmas festival with Art and Music. You can listen to some great bands and also buy art in enough time for the holidays! According to The Armadillo Christmas Bazaar it celebrates 43 seasons of treating Texans and tourists to a festive, holiday shopping experience for art and live music lovers. This iconic cultural event features 175+ contemporary touring visual artists and local favorites showcasing their work while the Armadillo Bazaar stage entertains shoppers with national touring acts, award-winning bands and Grammy nominated musicians.

2. 9th ANNUAL MOZART’S LIGHT SHOW

Mozart’s is one of my favorite coffee shops in Austin. It is also one of the most iconic ones as well. You can treat yourself to amazon cafe drinks and snacks. There will be events and parties throughout the month of December, so it is totally worth checking out!

3. ICE SKATING ON THE ROOFTOP OF WHOLE FOODS

Ice Skating in Texas? Yes, please! You can come and enjoy ice skating on the rooftop plaza of the Downtown Whole Foods. The cost is only $10 a person and that comes with your rentals and admission! There are concessions for you and your family to purchase while you skate.

4. COTA WINTER WONDERLAND

Circuit of the Americas is transforming their site into a Winter Wonderland and you need to go! With over a million lights this Wonderland has it all from a petting zoo, to holiday movies on the lawn. You also can do a camel ride or ice skate! Check their website for more details.

5. MIRACLE CHRISTMAS BAR

For the second time in a row Miracle on 5th Street is back! With Christmas themed drinks and 3 bars this is the biggest one yet! Come feel the Christmas Spirit or just have a couple of Christmas spirits as you are inundated with a Christmas Good Time!

6. TRAIL OF LIGHTS

“It can’t be Christmas in Austin without visiting the Trail of Lights!”

According to The AUSTIN TRAIL OF LIGHTS it is Austin’s largest holiday tradition and 2nd largest event in the city. Run by the Trail of Lights Foundation, the annual event in Zilker Park celebrates the unique spirit and people that make Austin the place we love to call home. The Austin Trail of Lights is a community event that invites 400,000 people every year to come celebrate the holidays in the heart of Austin, Texas during the month of December. The event showcases everything that we love about Austin—from music and food to creativity and family fun.
