Austin is home to some of the best tacos in the nation. Austin has it all from authentic Mexican tacos, Tex Mex, breakfast tacos, to even Asian style tacos.
I’ve travel to and lived in multiple states and personally believe that Austin has some of the most incredible tacos in the world. Austin has become a must-see city, so this week’s ChubbyDiaries.com Feature is “Best Tacos in Austin!”
Disclaimer: These tacos are not in any particular ranking order, they are just some of our favorites. We are focusing on our smaller/local favs, so we are not featuring any large taco chain restaurants like Torchy’s, Tacodeli, or the bell in this one.

Looking for one of the top rated taco food trucks in Austin? Looking to not break the bank? Then Taco Guerrero has you covered! They offer a wide range of delicious breakfast and lunch/dinner tacos. Plus, all of their tacos are less than $3! You can find this food truck on the East side of Austin. They only accept cash, so bring some bills and your appetite.

This store front taco joint is a Austin gem. Those Lengua tacos had this chubby guy shouting for joy! Papalote has a variety of tacos and you can have it, as you can pick and choose which one you want.

The owner here is super nice, and will give you a lot great recommendations. I had the ranchero, campechano, and granny tacos, and they were all crazy amazing! I HIGHLY recommend the ranchero taco- it comes with chicharron and avocado! What an awesome combo!

Just take my money ladies! Veracruz All Natural might have one of the most inspiring food truck stories ever! Founded by two sisters, the owners pride themselves on cooking homemade food and using fresh, natural ingredients.

A lot of my friends will be able to tell you that I love Eastern Asian food and eStreet Asian Tacos has become a favorite. They have a menu like no other; and when it comes down to Mexican-Asian fused tacos-they win! You can find them in the H-Mart Market Eatery. While there are various options, this might be the best restaurant there! I ordered the Korean beef taco and Filipino pork belly taco. Sooooooooooo good!
6. Juan in a Million

After seeing it featured on a popular travel show “Man vs Food,” I had to try this place out for myself! Juan in a Million is literally my go to when people visit me here in Austin! The legendary “Don Juan” taco is loaded with the kitchen sink and more. I’ve seen it feed 3 people, but I like to get one for myself! Juan Meza greets me with a smile and sends me off with a hug every single time I’ve been in there! Love this place!
