There’s a crisp chill in the air and my neighbors are beginning to line their homes with twinkling lights. My friends and I are planning our big holiday baking day and last minute winter trips. We’ve finally made it to hot chocolate season and I absolutely cannot wait to get my hands around a warm mug of the ultimate winter beverage.

1. Katherine Anne Confections

Katherine Anne’s Confections is home to some of the most delicious and unique truffles in the US. With over ten types of hot cocoa to choose from, you’re guaranteed to find the perfect hot chocolate for you. 

2. The Little Nell

The Little Nell is a five star hotel and ski resort in Aspen, Colorado known for its luxurious accommodations and…you guessed it! Hot chocolate! You can try what numerous travel blogs have argued is the country’s best hot chocolate at the hotel’s restaurant, Element 47.

3. La Châtelaine Chocolat Co.

Bozeman, Montana is home to beautiful views, stunning mountains, and one of the best chocolate shops in the United States. La Châtelaine was founded by Shannon Hughes and Wlady Grochowski, two talented chocolatiers who learned their craft in France. Once you visit, you’ll completely understand how this chocolate shop made our list. 

4. Clementine

Clementine is a family-owned, neighborhood bakery that uses local ingredients from around Los Angeles and nearby areas. Here, you’ll find both delicious hot cocoa and delectable homemade marshmallows. 

5. Xoco

At Xoco, you can find bright, contemporary street foods inspired by the Mexican Marketplace. The real star here is the traditional Mexican hot chocolate. You gotta add it to your musty-try list!
